On Saturday, August 9th, we hosted our annual country and western family fun day to raise funds for Great Ormond Street Hospital.
We encouraged fancy dress, and everyone showed up in their best outfits, shouting plenty of "YeeHahs!!"
We enjoyed live music from Crooked Style and On the Note. Both bands delivered fantastic performances that everyone loved.
A huge THANK YOU goes to Steve for his efforts in preparing and tending to the pig... (It was quite amusing watching Steve and Claire carry it.) The hog roast was delicious as always.
Face painting was provided by Summer Faces.
The photo booth corner with props was a hit, with many of our regulars taking humorous photos (we’d love to see them, so please tag us in your social media posts.)
There were numerous fun activities to keep families entertained throughout the day, including tin can alley with nerf guns and bow and arrows, horseshoe ring toss, hunt the horses, booze or lose, and the envelope game! Amazing prizes such as a helicopter ride, family days out, ice cream vouchers, museum passes, gym memberships, restaurant vouchers, fishing days, golfing days, facials, and much more were all won!
Shaw won the £75 bar tab. Thank you all for participating.
The fun-filled day concluded with a charity quiz hosted by Quizmaster Nick, raising money for Great Ormond Street Hospital. A big thanks to the winning team who donated their prize back to GOSH!
We surpassed last year's total of £1,150 for Great Ormond Street Hospital by raising £1,417 this year! MASSIVE!!
We are incredibly grateful to everyone involved in the event, whether through organizing, donating, running it, or any other contribution... and to the lady who won the helicopter ride and chose to auction it off, raising £260.
We look forward to seeing you all next year!
